Triumph Bonneville description

Thanks for looking at my Triumph! This is a hard to find matching number 65 Bonneville with 13K low miles with good working speedometer and tachometer. It was restored 3 years ago and I bought it that way. It has a rebuilt engine, all new original-colored paint, new rims and spokes, new tires and a new seat. The bike has won trophies at several local show including "Best of Show" at Tulsa (ridden to the meet from Arkansas) and "Best British Bike" at Bikes, Blues, Bar-B-Q Fayetteville this year. I have it running on a capacitor ignition so it doesn't need a battery. It does come with a new wire harness and battery box. The taillight is not original, but nice. The bike has no reserve and a reasonable starting price.

Buddy Holly, Ariel Cyclone, 1958

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

Above is some fantastic home movie footage of Buddy Holly and the Crickets messing around on motorbikes in 1958. The story behind the bikes in the video starts after Buddy Holly, Joe Mauldin and Jerry Allison came back from a successful tour in 1958, flush with cash. The trio decided to spend their rock and roll dollars on brand new motorcycles.

Motorcycle Freestyle Rider Ernie Vigil Puts Triumph’s Scrambler Through The Wringer [Video]

Wed, 21 Mar 2012

With its on/off-road tires, spoke wheels, high rise dual exhaust, protective fork gators and flat one-piece seat and handlebar, Triumph’s Scrambler evokes notions of a McQueen-esque go anywhere, do anything machine in a modern motorcycle. It’s probably safe to assume few Scrambler owners today put their retrofied rides to the test, seeing just how much abuse the 865cc parallel-Twin-powered Scrambler can take. However, in this Triumph North America video, freestyle rider Ernie Vigil (the video’s editor and co-creator) does what most Scrambler owners wish they were capable of with their new/old Trumpet.
