Triumph Adventure description

2001 Triumph Adventurer 900. I am the second owner of this beautiful bike and have owned it for 3 years. The Adventurer model is a 900cc triple which was only made for 4 years. This, the black with fire orange scallops is without a doubt the prettiest paint scheme for this model. It runs great, everything works and it has a new battery and a new windshield still in the box. The bike has 11,000 miles on it and some added chrome bits here and there. There is a small dent in the upper left tank due to the first owner hitting it with the handlebar control which may be able to be pushed out. It has never been wrecked or down. It is not currently inspected because I can no longer ride it due to my health but everything works as it should and will pass inspection easily. Tires are good. I am 63 years old with bad knees and a short inseam and can no longer get on or off the bike easily and have trouble holding it at stops and red lights with it's 29 1/2" seat height.  I have only been able to ride the bike about 200 miles this summer. Low reserve price. Clean title in my name. I need to buy a bike with a lower seat height.

Winning bidder will send a non-refundable $500 paypal deposit within 48 hours of auction end and must pick up the bike and pay remaining amount in cash at pick up. Bike must be picked up within 7 days of auction end unless other plans are made with the seller. Bike is able to be stored for 3 weeks after auction end as long as it has been paid in full within 7 days of auction end. The bike is being sold  "as is" with no actual or implied warranty.  Bike will not be shipped.  I will answer any and all questions about the bike to the best of my knowledge. I have given an accurate description and you can check my ebay history and bid with confidence.   Bidders with less than 15 prior history bids will be removed from the auction unless contacted first by that bidder.

Single sided chain adjustment

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

We don’t get the manuals with our long term bikes and I didn’t want swallow my pride and ask triumph how to adjust the chain on the Speed Triple. For the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. The single side swing arm with centrally mounted disk is a work of art but how the hell you are supposed to adjust the thing?

New Stuff: Bridgestone BT-016 Pro's

Thu, 24 Mar 2011

Well it was inevitable really, the gloriously sticky and not very durable Metzler Racetec K3's had seen their last mile on the Triumph. After being ripped through 2500 miles by the Speeds thumping 1050 Triple motor the rear had all but squared off. To replace them I’ve opted for Bridgestones new BT-16 Pro's because their previous incarnation had proved to offer supersport grip in the corners but also offer high mileage rates.
