Triumph Adventure tech info
Triumph Adventure description
2001 Triumph Adventurer 900. I am the second owner of this beautiful bike and have owned it for 3 years. The Adventurer model is a 900cc triple which was only made for 4 years. This, the black with fire orange scallops is without a doubt the prettiest paint scheme for this model. It runs great, everything works and it has a new battery and a new windshield still in the box. The bike has 11,000 miles on it and some added chrome bits here and there. There is a small dent in the upper left tank due to the first owner hitting it with the handlebar control which may be able to be pushed out. It has never been wrecked or down. It is not currently inspected because I can no longer ride it due to my health but everything works as it should and will pass inspection easily. Tires are good. I am 63 years old with bad knees and a short inseam and can no longer get on or off the bike easily and have trouble holding it at stops and red lights with it's 29 1/2" seat height. I have only been able to ride the bike about 200 miles this summer. Low reserve price. Clean title in my name. I need to buy a bike with a lower seat height.
Winning bidder will send a non-refundable $500 paypal deposit within 48 hours of auction end and must pick up the bike and pay remaining amount in cash at pick up. Bike must be picked up within 7 days of auction end unless other plans are made with the seller. Bike is able to be stored for 3 weeks after auction end as long as it has been paid in full within 7 days of auction end. The bike is being sold "as is" with no actual or implied warranty. Bike will not be shipped. I will answer any and all questions about the bike to the best of my knowledge. I have given an accurate description and you can check my ebay history and bid with confidence. Bidders with less than 15 prior history bids will be removed from the auction unless contacted first by that bidder. |

Speed Triple gets mean
Fri, 29 Oct 2010I headed up the M1 this week to the Triumph Factory in Hinckley. The Speed Triple was due its 12000 mile major service and the workshop also had some new shiny bits to add to the bike for me. Service intervals are every 6000 miles which is more than bearable but the major service will cost you around £450.
Riding round the north of Scotland
Mon, 20 Aug 2012I’m ashamed to say that until last week, I had no idea what incredible roads and scenery the North West of Scotland had to offer. Starting at Helensburgh just west of Glasgow, ten of us (including ex racers Duffus, MacPherson, Morrison and Simpson,) rode 600 miles round the coast then back down to Inverness. On mostly empty but immaculate roads we lost count of the mountains, lochs and sandy beaches along the way.
2012-2013 Triumph Speed Triple in Two Transmission-Related Recalls in Canada
Tue, 21 May 2013Transport Canada announced two separate transmission-related recalls for the 2012 and 2013 Triumph Speed Triple. At this time, the recall only affects Speed Triples in Canada though a separate recall should be expected for the U.S. market.
