2014 AMA Supercross – New Jersey Results

A crowd of 62,217 fans in East Rutherford, N.J. witnessed the coronation of Ryan Villopoto as the 2014 AMA Supercross Champion. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider took the holeshot and led very lap in a decisive victory to clinch the championship, his fourth in a row.

Suzuki MotoGP Development Video Series

The first video of a four-part series documenting Team Suzuki’s MotoGP development process for its return to MotoGP in 2015 featuring behind-the-scenes and on-track footage is now available for viewing. Further programs will be available here on January 4th, January 7th and January 10th.  Episode 1 The Suzuki MotoGP test program gets underway in March at Suzuki’s Development base in Ryuyo, Japan with behind-the-scenes footage, on-track action and an interview with Suzuki MotoGP test rider Nobu Aoki. Episode 2 The team moves to Twin Ring Motegi in Japan in April and May where MotoGP rider Randy De Puniet joins the team as test rider.

Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong.  As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.
