Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship. What follows is the official Pirelli press release. Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.

Suzuki Contributes to Philippines Typhoon Relief Efforts

Suzuki announced it will donate „7 million (US$70,013) in aid to help those in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Suzuki joins Honda and Yamaha which have both previously pledged aid to the Philippines. The latest numbers have raised the death toll to 3,951 people, with another 1,598 still unaccounted for, and another 4 million displaced from their homes.

Shots Fired at Suzuki Motorcycle India Factory as Labor Strife Heats Up

A man is facing charges after reports of gunshots and employees allegedly assaulted with glass bottles at Suzuki’s motorcycle plant in Gurgaon, India, as workers demonstrated in a sympathy strike in support of their counterparts at a Suzuki automobile plant. According to the Indian Express, a man representing a company which supplies contract workers for Suzuki Motorcycle India allegedly fired his gun into the air and assaulted workers with beer bottles to intimidate them into calling off the strike. Two people were reportedly injured by thrown bottles.
