Suzuki Other description

        1974 Suzuki T500 Titan
This is a No Reserve Listing

Hello, I am selling my 1974 T500 Titan. I have owned this bike for 10 years. This has been a wonderful addition to my collection, but another child on the way forces the sale. I purchased this motorcycle from a General Motors Engineer in Detroit were he had it stored in a heated garage for most of its life.

The engine was completely  rebuilt as of two years ago by a certified motorcycle mechanic using all N.O.S Suzuki parts at a considerable cost. There was nothing wrong with the engine. It had been running summer after summer without any issues. I just felt it needed to be gone through to be on safe side of things. The carbs were also rebuilt,New clutch pack, New Battery, New higher output coils, oil changed and the C.C.I oiling system was cleaned and checked, and then it was put into storage were it has sat until these pictures were taken today. The new engine only has about 200 miles on it and runs great. The 2 miles you see on the odometer were from my ride today.

I pulled the Suk. out, threw some new gas in it and it fired on the third kick. The carbs should be cleaned and will most likely need to be re jetted for the new owners location / elevation.
The chrome has some pitting here and there. The paint on the tank has some cracking from age.
The taillight lens and one rear blinker were damaged in storage.

Overall this is a great driver, not a show bike. You get a lot of, Man I haven't seen one of those in years, and many other  interesting conversations about other peoples lives with two stroke street bikes.

Included with the sale:

A file folder with receipts and documentation
Two copies of the original owners manual
Blinkers and Mirrors

Shipping will be at the owners expense. I don't have a problem assisting with pickup. As far as crating I can build one, but it will be at the new owners expense.

Thank you for your interest. I hope someone enjoys this bike as much as I have.

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

The world of a MotoGP test rider is a little strange. They’re born racers, and yet when they take to the track it’s usually alone, their mission to develop a motorcycle. They don’t get a trophy, nor do they get to battle with other riders.

Harley’s Ed Krawiec is 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champ

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec is the 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. Krawiec clinched the title with a second-round win at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway that eliminated Lucas Oil Buell rider Hector Arana Jr., the only rider in the field with a chance to overtake Krawiec for the championship. Krawiec advanced to the final round and lost to his Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammate Andrew Hines, who finished the season third in points. More from Harley-Davidson on Krawiec’s win: “I think this is really a statement on the season, to end it with an all-Harley final and the championship, and with Willie G.
