Suzuki GSX-R description

I bought this bike after a guy dropped it and got it for a good price. I own another sport bike and figured it was a good opportunity to see if I liked a GSXR 750 better than my SV650S. So, I replaced the fairings, which turned out it was cheaper to buy a fairing aftermarket kit than just to replace them with stock design ones. I think it looks pretty good with the paint job they came with. Anyways, after replacing the fairings, I rode it for a few hours over a week and decided that it wasn't the bike for me. I still have my SV and only want to sell this bike. It has so much power and just screams so beautifully, begging you to punch it everyone you go. I know I'll get in trouble with it. Also, I prefer the seating angle of my SV over the GSXR. Other than the fairings, I also powder coated the pegs and peg brackets to match the paint job. I powder coated the brackets black and the pegs bronze. They look really good. Plus, the guy before me painted them black with wet paint and they were fading from wear from his feet. Powder coating is more durable, which is why I chose it. I also replaced the levers with high quality bronze levers. The windscreen is tinted/smoked, which came with the fairing kit. It's mechanically sound. Like I said, I rode it around for a bit to see if I like it. Everything's ready to go and everything works as it should. If you want to test ride it, you have to understand my position as the seller. I can only allow a test ride if you sign a purchase agreement if you wreck or damage it, and we will get it notarized so it will stand in court. Let's see, what else... the tires have a lot of tread life left. I would guess that they're at about 70% tread left. The chain seems to have plenty of life left in it. It has a fresh oil change, because I didn't know when the last guy changed it last. It also has a brand new air filter, Suzuki brand. The gas tank was obviously repainted as well to match the fairings. It had one small dent on the right side, small enough not to replace the tank, so I bondo'd it smooth. You won't notice it unless you're looking for it, because it was done fairly well to match the tank's original shape. If there's something I haven't covered, just let me know. I'll be glad to answer. I had this listed for a while locally and now I'm hoping eBay will sell it before winter comes. So make your best offer and we'll see who goes home with it! Be assured that this description is a selling contract, so if I lied about anything, you're covered and can suit the crap out of me! Hahaha. I'm just trying to show you that you can be confident in the condition of this bike.

Capirossi Announces Retirement at Conclusion of 2011 Season

Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Loris Capirossi announced he will retire at the end of the 2011 MotoGP season, closing off a quarter century of racing including 22 years at the Grand Prix level and three World Championships. “It’s an important moment in my career, and the decision I made has come about after a lot of reflection,” says Capriossi. “I’m happy that after 25 years, of which 22 were in the world championship, I’m at a point where I can still have a smile on my lips as I part ways, even if it’s difficult to think that I won’t be riding a bike next year.” The announcement was made during a press conference at Misano for the upcoming San Marino Grand Prix, the final Italian stop of the 2011 season.

Eugene Laverty Talks Suzuki MotoGP Testing

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

In this diary entry, Voltcom Crescent Suzuki’s Eugene Laverty reflects on a busy three weeks that saw him visit Suzuki HQ in Hamamatsu in Japan, test the Suzuki MotoGP machine in Okayama and Phillip Island; and then race to a podium position at the Sepang World Superbike round in Malaysia. The past few weeks have been one hell of an adventure. The trip started out in Donington for the British round of the World Superbike Championship and from there I travelled directly to Japan for my debut test on Suzuki’s MotoGP prototype.
