Suzuki GS description
I have a 2008 Suzuki GS500 (two cyl four stroke 500cc engine) in great/near terrific condition, which has never been dropped. It has 11,729 mis on it and has been kept in the garage. It is very clean and has been regularly maintained. I changed the oil regularly and recently cleaned out the air filter. It has not been customized. Its original parts are still as is from the manufacturer. However, I did put brand new tires on it, along with a new drive chain. The bike does run very well, but has some minor cosmetic imperfections: The mirrors are slightly scuffed from when I parked it near a wall, the sticker on the back fender slightly peeling, the bottom of the fender behind the front tire is slightly scuffed and cracked from my driveway entry way. This is a very good bike that is valued at 3,250 according to NADA. I'm asking 3,200 OBO. I would love to keep this bike, but there's no point because it's my 2nd bike. Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?
Tue, 30 Dec 2008A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
