Suzuki DR-Z description

2000 Suzuki DR-Z400E, 2000 Trail Ready DRZ400 - This DRZ is ready to hit the trails. for those of you who are looking for a Dirtbike with Lights, this is it. a 2000 DRZ dirtbike that has been converted and titled for the street. this means you get a plastic tank and racing carb. when the current owner purchased the bike, he added alot of after market and upgrades to it. here is the list: all new body panels (except tank), seat cover, heavy duty hand guards, skid plate, stainless braided brake lines, headlight & signals, brake pads, wheel bearings, shifter assembly, Trailtech guage set, & tires. in the fall, he had us freshen the motor & install a new clutch. included with the sale are a set of Supermotard spoke wheels with michelin pilot tires on them (less than 50 miles!! see pics) if the wheels sell prior to the bike, then the bike price will be reduced to $2500. ****the dirt version of the DRZ400 has no odometer so there are no indicators of accurate mileage which is why the motor freshening was done. the bike runs great and has great power...more so than the regular Dualsport DRZ400. however, the offroad tires are not DOT legal and to be used offroad only - reason for the street wheel set.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.

Is This the New Suzuki V-Strom 650?

Wed, 01 Jun 2011

Suzuki has released a teaser for a new mid-sized adventure bike, likely an updated V-Strom. The teaser campaign, which can be seen at Suzuki’s official website, shows the image above, along with the words: “Time For Real Adventures” and “Middle-Class New Motorcycle”. These hints suggest the new model will be an updated V-Strom 650, likely using an engine similar to the one powering the Suzuki Gladius SFV650.
