Other 1972 Laverda SFC replica description
1972 Laverda SFC replica, custom built based on a 1974 Laverda SF2
Built in 2007 by Wolfgang Haerter, famed Laverda specialist in BC, Canada. Starting with a solid 1974 SF2 (#16193), he crafted this replica as close to original as possible, using various SFC parts. In his words “this is an SFC in every respect except the serial numbers”. Bike was commissioned by the previous owner and imported to the USA in 2007. It was shown at the Ride Into History in FL, where it won best in class. It also won the Palmetto Award at the Hilton Head Concourse d’Elegance.
There are some priced parts on the bike, mainly the Marchals lights, as used by the factory on the race models. The exhaust pipes are pure megaphones and sound gorgeous. The Smiths Tachometer is a correct SFC installation. The bars are Tomaselli, shocks and fork Ceriani as per original SFC. Twin leading front brake. Tank has been sealed with Caswell. No Speedo or odometer.
I bought the bike in 2013, according to the owner with less than 100 miles since being built up. I went through the bike in detail to make sure everything was fully functional and ready for use on the road. I have added less than 200 miles, mainly on short 10 to 20 mile trips. The total mileage is an estimate since rebuild. The bike is ready to be taken on the road, everything works and is in excellent condition.
Bike is registered in GA and comes with a GA title.
