Norton Atlas 750 description
A TRUE Barn Find!! Rare 1967 NORTON ATLAS This rare classic motorcycle was last ridden in 1972. I rescued this beauty from a farmer's barn in 1980. I removed the wiring harness, oil tank, exhaust, spark plugs, and a few other wires and hoses and put it in climate-controlled storage since then. My dream was to restore it to original condition, but I have not had the time/money/energy/skill in the thirty-six years I have owned it. I give up! Maybe you can get this old girl back on the road. The motorcycle is mostly complete, except for the few parts I removed many years ago as mentioned above. There is some light surface rust and lots of dirt, hay, and chicken poop from being stored in the barn. I have never cleaned it! I am unable to read the odometer due to the numbers fading, however it was a "daily driver" from 1967 - 1972. The engine is not seized. This bike has the famous Norton Featherbed frame and will make a beautiful restoration or resto-mod cafe racer. In plain English, the bike does not run and has not been started since 1972. Unfortunately there is no Title or Registration, however I will give the buyer a bill of sale. Local pickup or buyer arranges shipping. Winning bidder must pay $500 deposit with 24 hours of winning bid. Balance due must be paid in cash or cashiers check upon pickup. Good luck and happy bidding. |

The Rotary Racebike Is Back With The Crighton Racing CR700P – Video
Fri, 11 Oct 2013Here are the facts: 200 hp, 100 ft.-lbs, and 700cc. If you’re guessing what engine is capable of producing numbers like this, you’re probably looking in the wrong direction. No, this isn’t coming from a piston engine, but a rotary.
Price William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles
Mon, 02 Dec 2013The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.
I'm on a Goodwood Revival comedown
Tue, 22 Sep 2009I'm on a massive comedown after a great weekend at Goodwood Revival. The Revival relives the glory days of the 50s and 60s and that's not just marketing hype, almost everyone is dressed in perios clothing, the cars are all from 1948 to 1966 and the effort that goes into setting Goodwood up is incredible, even the burger vans are retro Citroens, the staff are dressed in period clothing and about the only thing not retro was the price of a bacon sarnie; £6.50, ouch! I only planned to go down on Friday, but I had such a good time I headed back on Sunday too.
