Moto Guzzi Eldorado description

Selling my Eldorado
Very nice matching numbers bike. I purchased about two and one half years ago from a older gentleman who had went thru the bike  around 1999 and 2000 and seldom rode it after that.
Some of the work he performed follows.
Rebuilt the Engine and Transmission--New Gilardoni Cylinders and Pistons--New Clutch--New Rear Drive Seals--New Steering Head and Wheel Bearings--New Header Pipes and Crash Bars--Sealed the Tank--Repainted the Frame and Bike--Rebuilt Front Disc and Caliper and more.
I have reciepts for over $2500.00 he spent.
Some of the work I have done.
New Greg Bender Wiring Harness with Starter and Light Relays--Added Police Dash and new Dash Lights, New Spot Lights, Turn Signals and Flashers--New Rebuilt Speedometer--Rebuilt the Carbs and added Flip Chokes. Velocity Stacks and K&N Pod Filters and new Shocks.
New Battery--New Dunlop Tires and Tubes--New Mac Fish Mufflers (Sounds Great)--New Plugs, Points, Condensor, Distributor Cap, Spark Plug Wires and Flame Thrower Coil. New K&S Switchgear. New Grips and Throttle Speedometer and Clutch Cables.
Bike comes with a National Cycle Police Windshielda, copy of Guzzoligys, Repair and Parts manual and a stock seat.
I have reciepts for over $2100.00 I have spent.

This is a very nice bike but not perfect. Mileage is a guess, Speedo was not working. Paint has a bubble around gas cap two small tears in seat. A few chips, No Dents.

Starts-Idles-Runs and Stops great. Chrome is very good to excellant. Paint is good.

Reason for selling is I have put about 1250 miles on the speedo since I have owned it (about two and a half years) and I am 67 and have a two other bikes. Bike is 42 years old and their is no warrenty expressed or implied.

Ask questions. Pictures always look great. Contact me thru ebay and i will call you back. $250.00 deposit required from PayPal. I will ship only in the US and will help in any way.

THANKS FOR LOOKING
Ron

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

Piaggio Reports Q1 2012 Results

Tue, 08 May 2012

Increased scooter sales offset a drop in motorcycle sales, but both segments reported increases in net sales for the Piaggio Group in the first quarter of 2012. According to Piaggio‘s first quarter report, the Group sold 9,400 motorcycles worldwide, down 8.2% from the 10,300 units sold in the same quarter last year. Scooter sales however saw a 7.9% increase to 79,200 units from 73,400 units.

When you look at the harsh conditions faced by the hardy souls who set out to claim their fortune in California’s Mojave Desert, the stakes get even higher. Do a little research, and you’ll discover an impressive number of hamlets were born, sometimes prospered, sometimes didn’t, then died – often in dog years.
