MV Agusta Rivale 800 Selected Most Beautiful Bike at 2012 EICMA Show

Mon, 19 Nov 2012

The 2013 MV Agusta Rivale 800 has been voted the most beautiful motorcycle of the 2012 EICMA Show in a poll of over 15,000 visitors to the show in Milan, Italy. The Rivale captured 35.5% of the votes to win the honor, well ahead of the new Ducati Hypermotard SP which finished second in the voting at 22.9%. The two new Italian models are direct competitors in the middleweight motard segment, with the now-liquid-cooled 821cc Hypermotard SP facing off against the three-cylinder Rivale 800.

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

Earlier this week, MV Agusta released a video teasing its upcoming Dragster 800 model that prominently featured the familiar introduction to Metallica‘s 1991 hit “Enter Sandman“. That original video is no longer available on YouTube, replaced by a new version with a more generic heavy metal soundtrack. It looks like MV Agusta did not secure the license to use “Enter Sandman” in the video, forcing the company to replace the original video with new,  and likely license-free, music.
