MV Agusta 1962 description

I love older Italian bikes. Their gorgeous styling is evident in the jewelry-like components and craftsmanship that sets them apart from all others. At the top of the scale is MV Agusta. Back in the 50's and 60's MV won dozens of world championships, the honor badges from those races grace the fuel tank of this beautiful 1962 Checca GTES. This is one of the bikes that I know I'll regret parting with, years from now. Alas, reality is setting in here, so I've decided to offer some of my terrific vintage bikes to new caretakers. This Checca (Translation: "Fairy" in English) is a rare bird on this side of the pond. Perhaps a handful of examples are known, and this is one of, if not the finest that you will ever have the opportunity to add to your distinguished collection.

Winner of many first place awards including Best Exotica at Larz Anderson Classic in Brookline, Massachusetts, Best MV Agusta at Italian Motorcycle Owner's Club Rally in Sturbridge, Mass, and first in class at The Vintage Bazaar motorcycle show in Salisbury, Massachusetts, and most recently in 2015 AMCA Junior First; distinguished credentials, indeed.

I've been the caretaker of this ultra-sweet machine for a number of year now. The bike was restored prior to my purchase. I spent many, many hours detailing everything, cleaning and lining the rust-free fuel tank with Caswells to insure a no hassle lifetime. Starts in a 2 or 3 kicks cold, and a single kick warm. Runs super and shifts easily, handles like a bicycle. Everything works; horn lights, battery charging. I hollowed out a period correct Italian battery case, and placed a sealed battery inside. The bike will run without a battery, as it's only utilized to run the lights. The paint on the bike is exceptionally nice. There's a bit of wear on the center stand from use, the side toolbox lids have a bit of waviness to them if you look very closely, the speedo bezel is original and not replated, and the license plate holder edge is not perfectly straight on its edge. No leaks, even after extended storage, in my climate controlled facility.

The Checca retains all of its proper, nearly unobtainable original bits including fuel tank and cap, headlight, speedometer, switches, handlebars, brake and clutch levers, carburetor and velocity stack, seat, etc, etc. The Michelin tires and tubes are new in 2015, and I installed Motion Pro armor rim strips to protect the tubes last year, as well.

Any questions, feel free to call me, on +1 603.821.9588. Please leave a message and I will get back with you. Or send me a message here on eBay and I will call you back.

This bike is located in Nashua, New Hampshire. I will store the Checca for up to one month while you make shipping or pick-up arrangements, and I will work with your chosen shipper make for a convenient time to pick-up. I will work with you to ship the bike anywhere in the world. A $1000 Paypal deposit is due at auction's conclusion, with final payment by bank wire transfer or in ca$h within five days of the auction's close.

The Checca has a clear New Hampshire title in my name.

Here's your chance to buy a really scarce MV, with my hopes that it goes to a good, caring home. Thanks for looking.

Limited Edition MV Agusta Brutale Corsa Announced

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

MV Agusta is adding another variant to its four-cylinder 1078cc Brutale lineup. Alongside the Brutale 1090, 1090 R and 1090 RR, MV Agusta will offer the new limited edition Brutale Corsa (and no, we’re pretty sure they didn’t at any point consider calling it the 1090 RRR. We’re pretty sure.) The Brutale Corsa shares the same 1078cc 16-valve four-cylinder engine as the 1090 models.
