Its 500 cc, electronic fuel injected, DOHC liquid-cooled engine delivers at highway speeds with plenty of passing power. KYMCO's popular CVT transmission provides stepless acceleration from a standing start all the way up to cruising speed. The 15-inch front and 14-inch rear tires, adjustable hydraulic rear shocks and telescopic front forks smooth out the bumps. The decrease in cubic capacity also affected the mass of the device: the DTX 125 "lost" to 176 kg.
Kymco Quannon 150 Unveiled
Tue, 30 Dec 2008Taiwan-based Kymco unveiled three new products earlier this month at the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, CA., including the Quannon 150. The air-cooled 149.3cc single-cylinder “sportbike” weighs 299 lbs and produces 14 hp allegedly allowing it to reach speeds of 72 mph. Speed is unlikely to be the main goal for beginners or commuters who purchase such a bike, but the claimed 70-75 mpg fuel efficiency will surely strike their fancy.
