2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. New: Kawasaki Z40 Limited Edition watch

KAWASAKI are releasing a limited run of chronograph watches to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of their seminal bike. To reflect the engine capacity of the Z1, the run of watches has been limited to just 903 time pieces and will retail in the UK at £249.95. The watch will be officially launched at the main German motorcycle show, Intermot, on 2October, in just the same way the Z1 arrived in Europe for the first time 40 years ago.

Kawasaki Electronic Service Book

Starting from April this year, every new Kawasaki motorcycle will be equipped with a branded USB flash drive, which will store the entire service history of the motorcycle and other data about it. The so-called History Key will go in addition to the regular service book, as well as the element confirming membership in the free community of Kawasaki Riders Club.
