I never talked to the previous owner so I don't know a lot about this bike. I jump started it and it sounds ok but it keeps revving up so it must need some carb work. I have not been able to drive it yet because I just put a pre-owned tire on the back and found a bad bearing on the drive side of the back wheel. A pair of them are about $50 on-line but I haven't had the cash to get them yet. I was hoping to get it together because obviously it will be worth more when it's drivable, but I need money now.The fairing is a bit broken up, the seat is torn, the battery is bad, and the front tire is pretty worn. His accomplishments include setting the fastest lap for a newcomer at the Isle of Man TT in 2006, a third place at the Macau GP, and multiple top-five finishes in AMA Pro Racing competition. Race veteran Toye will compete in the Open Class Division on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, which will be modified to meet the extreme demands of racing a 12.42-mile course ending at the mountain-top finish.
Recall for 2009-2010 Kawasaki KLX250
Tue, 05 Jul 2011Kawasaki is recalling some 2009-2010 KLX250 models due to a risk of leaky fuel tanks. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the fuel tank on affected motorcycles may not be in contact with the frame-mounted rubber dampers designed to support the front of the tank, and the tank side mounting tabs may have excessive clearance from from the frame. As a result, spot-welded sections along the side tabs may be under excessive stress, potentially resulting in cracking and a fuel leak.
