Kawasaki Other description

I purchased this bike in 2009 for my then 17 year old son.  It was in sad shape and was last plated in 1982.  It had 3200 miles on it.  I bought it on a bill of sale and obtained a clear Indiana title through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.  The frame, swing arm, side and center stand, steering head, and other associated parts were power coated.  Everything rusted was either replaced, cleaned up, or painted.  The cables, tires and tubes, grips, battery, air cleaner, oil and filter, bulbs, headlight bucket, carburetor spigots, and helmet lock were purchased new.  The seat was recovered. The inside of the tank was coated.  The carbs were rebuilt several times and have new diaphragms. The mufflers are original and are solid.  I struggled with a lean condition on the right cylinder that no one could resolve and the bike sat until early this year when I took the bike to a shop that figured out the issue.  It now runs perfect ans has another new battery.  My son is no longer interested and I have other motorcycles that I ride.  It is probably as close to a new '78 Kaw 400 that you can find.  Its time for it to have a new home.  It is for sale and if I get an offer I can't refuse its gone.  Feel free to call with any questions on (765) 744-5518.  Please leave a message if I don't answer.  You can also contact me through ebay.

Jeremy Toye To Compete In 2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb Aboard Kawasaki ZX-10R

Wed, 28 May 2014

Jeremy Toye from San Diego, California is no rookie to professional road racing. His accomplishments include setting the fastest lap for a newcomer at the Isle of Man TT in 2006, a third place at the Macau GP, and multiple top-five finishes in AMA Pro Racing competition. Race veteran Toye will compete in the Open Class Division on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, which will be modified to meet the extreme demands of racing a 12.42-mile course ending at the mountain-top finish.

Kawasaki Producing 599cc 2013 Ninja ZX-6R for Japanese Racing Homologation

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

When Kawasaki announced it was upping the engine displacement for the Ninja ZX-6R to 636cc, the immediate question on many Team Green fans’ minds was what it would mean for the company’s supersport racing efforts. Kenan Sofuloglu won the 2012 World Supersport Championship on a Kawasaki ZX-6R, but under the regulations, he may not be allowed to defend his title next season on the 2013 model as homologation requirements in Supersport racing series limit Inline-Fours to displacements smaller than 600cc. Fear not however, as Kawasaki will be producing a special version of the ZX-6R with an engine displacement of 599cc, the same as the 2012 version.

Kawasaki Donates Motorcycle In Support Of Ocean Conservation

Thu, 14 Aug 2014

Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. announced recently that it will donate a Ninja 650 sportbike for auction at the Oceana SeaChange Summer Party, attended by some of the largest supporters of Ocean Conservation in Hollywood including Ted Danson, Sheryl Crow and this year’s special guest, Leonardo DiCaprio. Proceeds from the auction of the Ninja 650 will go to Oceana’s mission of ocean conservation, a shared goal by Kawasaki who’s global mission is “working as one for the good of the planet.”  Some of Oceana’s victories include protecting Sperm Whales from California Fisheries, upholding Shark fin bans in the United States and many other policy victories for marine life and habitats in more than 150 countries.
