2004 Kawasaki NINJA 250R, The NINJA 250R may be the smallest sportbike in the Kawasaki lineup, but it is also one of the best values for riders who want a high-tech engine, lightweight sportbike handling and distinctive NINJA styling. Both fun and affordable, it appeals to riders of all skill levels. Power for the NINJA 250R comes from a high-revving, liquid-cooled, in-line twin-cylinder four-stroke engine featuring dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. It delivers smooth, predictable power thats perfect for new motorcyclists, yet its 14,000-rpm redline and six-speed transmission will bring a grin to the face of the most experienced sportbike rider. Like its larger siblings, the NINJA 250R features an aerodynamic faring, Kawasakis UNI-TRAK progressive rear suspension and high-performance disc brakes. Monster Energy Kawasaki racer Ryan Villopoto demonstrated once again he is a the top of his sport, clinching his third-consecutive AMA Supercross championship. Villopoto cemented his title with a win in front of 43,149 fans at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, his ninth main event victory of the season and 33rd in his career. Though he led every lap, Villopoto didn’t have as easy a time in Salt Lake City as he has had in some races this season.

2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report

Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.

As part of the Breaking Boundaries Build-Off program, the evergreen brand offered him and five other designers to try their hand at tuning the Vulcan S. Without hesitation, Bassett cut the rear fender, installed a new seat, a long shock absorber and wheels.
