Kawasaki KZ1000 description

I have this 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 Drag bike up for sale. This bike has a 1977 KZ1000 motor on a 1976 KZ900 frame. Like most drag bikes, this one does not have a title, but I will provide a bill of sale if wanted. This bike turns over just fine, and has good brakes. A manual starter has been installed on the left side of the motor, and it can be turned over with an impact driver. The motor has a big block kit, and has had bottom and top end upgrades. This bike has a Dedenbear reaction time delay, and has a MPS hydraulic shifter. This bike has a Dyna Electronic Ignition system installed also. The front has a new Dunlop, and the rear has a new slick on an aluminum D.I.D. rim. A set of race carbs need to be installed, and a tune up needs to be done for this bike to be ready for the drag strip.

** Wheelie bar is included **

Thanks!

Lascorz smiling in first post-crash photo

Mon, 02 Jul 2012

Nearly three months on since Joan Lascorz's accident in the post-race test at Imola, the first image has appeared showing the Spaniard in good spirits whilst he undergoes rehabilitation. The terrible crash left the 27-year-old factory Kawasaki rider with a fracture to his C6 vertebrae, and fears that it would leave him quadriplegic. Fortunately, as shown in the picture with his raised arm, Lascorz has recovered full sensitivity in his upper limbs.

Kawasaki Patents Design for Naked Single

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Kawasaki has registered a design patent for what appears to be a naked version of its recently revealed 250cc single-cylinder Ninja RR Mono. While the Ninja RR Mono (also known in some markets as the Ninja 250SL) is produced for the Asian market, the new design is registered with the European Union’s Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, making it more likely to arrive in western markets. The detailed design renderings reveal many clues indicating this is a naked version of the RR Mono.
