Kawasaki KZ1000 Police description
Up for a auction with no reserve price a former Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) police bike 2002 Kawasaki KZ1000 police model 1000 cc with 45K miles. I bought this bike a couple of years ago and was kept in my garage since then. I did have the bike running for the last time last year after I rebuilt the carburetor and did an oil change service. Bike ran and rode (around my neighborhood) very good at that time without any issues not a single drop of oil anywhere around the engine, siren works great super loud two sounds with a flip of a switch also equipped with strobe light power supply but strobe lights were removed as well as the pursuit lights (red and blue front lights) and radio box. Very good potential for police escort service if needed. Had the batter checked and fully charged and it is good. Bike is not currently running, engine does not start but it is turning over just fine, most likely is in need of a carburetor rebuilt and with graduate school just don't have the time for the job and want to pass it along to the next motorcycle enthusiast. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!!. Clear title not salvage but the only problem I see with the title of this bike is that had not been transfer to the original owner in 2011 when he bought it from DART police department and this gentleman sold it to another gentleman whom I bought it from. Bottom line, this bike was passed along with date of sale of 12-30-11 without transferring title and showing original owner DART with the name and address of the gentleman that bought it first in 12-30-11. On Oct-15-16 at 21:14:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that bike has a new 16" short windshield not the original 20" windshield. |
