We have taken a 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000LT and turned it into an adventure style bike, ready to go anywhere!! This bike started off as more of the sport touring, but with many upgrades make it much more versatile. The obvious being the Continental TKC80 knobby tires giving more options to just paved roads. Traction control will help keep things under control on the dirt and gravel roads while still handling great on pavement. Other additions to the bike include SW-Motech skid plate, crash bars and Trax Evo aluminum side cases with Quick-lock side carrier mounting, MRA Vario Touring smoked adjustable wind screen, R&G Racing radiator screen. Garmin Montana 610 Navigator and Two Brothers Racing S1R Carbon Slip-on exhaust. Even with all the accessories this bike this bike comes in with a smaller price tag than a comparable KTM or BMW adventure bike with just as much fun to be had! The small sportbike was last updated in 2013, but the next update is just around the corner. The Japanese magazine Young Machine has published a hypothetical (or, who knows, very likely) image of the new generation Kawasaki Ninja 250, which will appear at the end of next year or in 2018. The render is intriguing: according to it, the younger “ninja” can get a “birdcage” frame and a “changeling” fork.

A big thanks to all at Newcastle Motorcycles for lending me a Honda CB1000F on Saturday to do nothing other than join mates for a blast round some fantastic roads in the North East. The buddies in question were Alan Smith (Bradley’s dad) and two stroke addict and race fan Chris Berriman. We headed east over the moors from the ‘Toon’ heading towards Barnard Castle then back through Consett before finishing up at the picturesque Tynemouth.
