This is a 2013 ktm 250sx. I'm the second owner of the bike. I purchased the bike this winter from a vet owner with about 40 hours on it. I put a new topend in and have a total of about 10 hours on it. Vertex B size piston was installed and x and z dimension were set. The bike has been set up for woods. Previous owner had suspension set up by JM racing for a 185 pound B woods rider. Right now the bike is sprung for my weight which is 220lbs but I have the stock springs to go with the bike. It has a scalvini pipe and carbon fiber silencer. Stock pipe and silencer come with it. Also Xc flywheel weight installed. Has an oversize tank and cycra handguards. When I purchased the bike I replaced all swingarm and linkage bearings along with wheel bearings. The tires are in great condition and the Michelin Xc have about three rides on them. Also installed this winter was 2015 graphics, tall EE seat, protaper woods bend bars, slavens racing billet aluminum water pump and running Evans coolant. I jetted the bike with the Suzuki needle and is spot on. I have the stock jetting needles and jets to go with it. This bike is in excellent condition. I do not have a mso or title, never had one for any bike in my past. I will provide a bill of sale. So why selling... My son is starting to want to race more motocross so time to sell my bike. 2014 KTM 1190 Adventure Introduces Motorcycle Stability Control Technology
Tue, 24 Sep 2013KTM unveiled the 2014 versions of the 1190 Adventure and 1190 Adventure R, along with a new rider assist system it calls Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC). Developed with anti-lock brake system manufacturer Bosch, MSC applies combined-ABS and traction control even when leaned over into a curve. Sensors gather data on various parameters including wheel speed, lean angle, pitch angle, acceleration and braking pressure.
Helen Kurt Caselli Send-Off Attracts Thousands
Fri, 20 Dec 2013In a touching tribute to Kurt Caselli, one of America’s brightest off-road racing stars, who tragically lost his life in a crash while competing in the Baja 1000, a gathering of over 2000 people descended upon Glen Helen Raceway to pay their final respects in a rolling tribute. The line of cars stretching back to the nearby freeway was a fitting reminder of just how many lives Caselli touched and how important a figure he was to many. Caselli’s KTM crew and teammates were just some of the many who came to pay their respects and take a ride-out in Kurt’s honor with his mom Nancy and fiancée Sarah at the head of the vast pack of motorcyclists. Motocrossers like Dean Wilson, Blake Baggett, Cole Seely and then other luminaries like AMA Superbike racer Chris Fillmore and off-roaders like Destry Abbott were part of the group.
Having a blast on the KTM Duke 125
Fri, 30 Sep 2011With young Taylor finally lifting my riding ban from his 125 Duke last week (I snapped the gear lever off in a failed garden stunt), I’ve been clocking up a few miles on what surely is the ‘must have’ learner bike of 2011. Last week I hopped aboard for a jaunt into the heart of Leicester where you can still park bikes for free then walk to all the major shops in minutes. I needed to appear in person at the main Post Office for an International Driving Permit as I found out without one; I couldn’t drive during my trip up coming trip to the Japanese Grand Prix.
