a nice used ktm 550 mxc dirtbike thats never been abused .
brand new top end , cylinder re nikasil plated , new mahle piston , new tires , sprockets , chain aftermarket preformance reed plate , carb . not even totally broke in , must be heat cycled a few more times to finish break in. decals are shrunk a bit , ding in lower front of pipe not serious not rashed out not deep. rear rim has a flat spot in it , doesnt affect riding that i have been able to notice. normal wear and tear otherwise but any that exists is very minor scrapes and scratches that is. for the year its a very nice looking and preforming machine. does haul major azz , pulls like a freight train. with the new carb and reed plate and new top end its got a hard to stall idle also very handy on slower trails takes a big boy kick to start , has lots of compression with new top end . should be run on preformance fuel and a quality synthetic oil mix . gives it a range of protection for a wide range of use's. |

KTM Issues Fuel Hose Recall on 7000 Motorcycles
Mon, 05 Nov 2012KTM is issuing a worldwide recall on approximately 7000 motorcycles from model year 2012 and 2013 for potential fuel hose leaks. The recall affects certain EXC, EXC-F, XC-F, XC-W, XCF-W, Freeride, SX-F, and Supermoto R models with electronic fuel injection. (See after the jump for specific models included in the recall.) According to KTM, a defect in the manufacturing process of the molded fuel hoses on affected models may lead to a fuel leak either at the ends or where the hoses bend.
