1942 Indian 741 Scout has been bored out to 37" (600cc). New tanks (still have tanks originally on bike), Seat, cables. Chief handle bars. Vertical Indian front fork. Bike has been in storage since 2009 and currently isn't running. Probably just needs a carb cleaning. Ran good when put into storage. Non-running price is $8000. Local pickup. Cash only. |

July Is Women’s Motorcycle Month

In fact, according to the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), women riders increased by 34% between 1998 and 2003. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) also says women make up nearly 30% of students in its Basic RiderCourses program.
Polaris Reports Q2 2013 Results
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Polaris Industries reports a 11.8% increase in net sales and a 14.6% increase in profit over the quarter ended June 30, 2013. The company earned a record $80 million in profit in the quarter, compared to $69.8 million in the same quarter last year. Most of the gains however were from Polaris’ off-road vehicles, its GEM, Goupil and Aixam small vehicles and sales of parts, garments and accessories including Klim apparel.
Hero MotoCorp Forms Joint Venture with Magneti Marelli
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is teaming up with electronic fuel injection expert Magneti Marelli in a new joint venture. Hero will hold a 60% share in the company with Magenti Marelli controlling the other 40%. The two companies are initially investing a combined US$8.5 million into the joint venture, with a planned investment of US$27 million total over the next ten years.
