I did run this machine about a year ago. Great overall condition, has been together for many years. Has great compression. Beautiful seat. This machine has been in the same family for the last 60 years. Motor cases look excellent. M344 Carburetor. Older brush paint restoration. Missing left foot board, and has a Harley brake lever instead of Indian, but it has been on there a very long time. Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction Rakes In $1.8 Million
Mon, 16 Jan 2012A collection of classic motorcycles including some owned by the Du Pont family was auctioned by Bonhams in Las Vegas, with sales reaching $1.8 million, nearly double the pre-auction estimates. The auction included 50 motorcycles and 113 lots of spare parts from the Du Pont family including some from the personal collection of E. Paul du Pont, founder of Du Pont Motors and one-time president of Indian Motorcycles.

Mon, 11 Mar 2013Indian Motorcycle revealed its all-new Thunder Stroke 111 engine, the first engine developed under its new Polaris Industries ownership and the powerplant for the 2014 model year. According to Polaris, the Thunder Stroke 111 engine has already undergone over a million miles of testing, including thousands of miles of on-road testing. Polaris deserves some credit for developing an all-new engine for Indian Motorcycle instead of just re-using the 106ci Freedom V-Twin engine used in the current Victory Motorcycles lineup.

Tue, 28 May 2013In 1914 the city of Dodge City, Kansas held a motorcycle race, the Dodge City 300, attracting over 17,000 spectators. By 1921 there were more than 20,000. The race was held on a two-mile dirt oval and was sanctioned by the FAM (Federation of American Motorcyclists).
