Husqvarna 125 WR description

For your consideration... Rare 1973 Husqvarna 125 WR Vintage Factory Motocross Racer. Part of my collection for three years, I purchased this bike from a older gentleman from Boston who had owned it for 30 years ! This was a seldom used well cared for low production Wide Ratio model. Most of the '73 125's being CR models. Mostly original including handlebars, perches, levers, Bufo hardware, sprockets, chain guard and forks all being in very nice condition needing nothing. Original very hard to find exhaust is also in great shape. I have since had the tank refinished beautifully in the wonderful Husqvarna Lion Yellow with new Made in Sweden, mixing ratio and knee pad decals with a new chrome gas cap. Repainted frame looks super as does the newly recovered correct style seat. Fenders were new at time of purchase. Koni rear shocks have been rebuilt, look and work nice and are a perfect replacement for the obsolete Girlings. New correct number plates and Magura grips. Good cables with oilers. Tires are dated replacements on good wheels & spokes still needing some polishing. This bike still wears some race scars in the form of minor nicks, gouges or such adding to its character that of 40 year old Swedish early Motocross racer with history of use. This bike ran and shifted fine prior to partial restoration and required no attention. Gas and fluids drained it has been retired for static display as intended for longer term storage as garage art trophy and not expected to start immediately. It will however, not require much effort to recommission this bike back to life should you choose to do so. Reasonable reserve... You can not find a core bike, build or buy a more complete '73 125. Consider reasonable "Buy it Now" option while only available one time to secure this vintage Husqvarna for your own. Or risk the time consuming traditional auction format battling late bidders to perhaps exceed initial offer. Either way... Paypal deposit of $500.00 is due immediately at auction end with balance due within seven days by way of cashiers check, bank transfer or cash before pick up. Shipping is buyers reponsibilty from northern Michigan Traverse City 49685. This bike is listed in other venues and therefore this auction may be canceled at any time. My bikes sell fast... Brett 231.421.8115 Thank You and Good Luck...

Husqvarna Baja Concept Unveiled at New York IMS

Fri, 20 Jan 2012

Husqvarna has unveiled a new dual-sport concept at the New York stop of the 2012 International Motorcycle Shows. At first glance, the Husqvarna Baja Concept appears similar to the Moab concept unveiled at the 2011 EICMA Show last November. Both models are aesthetically inspired by Husqvarna motorcycles from the ’70s and especially Steve McQueen‘s Husqvarna H400 famously immortalized on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

BMW unveiled its concept for an electric-powered entry-level motorcycle, the Husqvarna E-go, a motard-style urban commuter that appears to be BMW’s answer to Zero’s offerings. Despite the rather self-centered sounding name, the E-go is a humble-looking vehicle with some intriguing innovations. At first glance, the Husqvarna E-Go looks a lot like a bicycle – until you notice there are no pedals.
