2013 Honda XR650L, 2013 Honda XR650LOn-road. Off-Road. All roads. It all starts in the engine room, where the XR's potent, 644cc OHC powerplant uses Honda's patented Radial Four-Valve Combustion Chamber (RFVC) to put out huge torque and power. From there, a gear-driven counterbalancer minimizes vibrations, while a light, rigid chassis and long-travel suspension soak up the bumps and deliver superb handling on pavement and off. Handy electric starting simply makes it all that much easier.Dual PersonalityCheck out the features that make the XR650L such a competent machine on both the street and in the dirt: Semi-double-cradle steel frame. 43mm Showa cartridge fork with 16-position compression damping adjustability. Lightweight aluminum box-section swingarm with quick-detach rear wheel. Items like that make it a great dirt bike, while front and rear disc brakes, push-button electric starter, and a compact speedometer, steel fuel tank, and superior fuel economy make it an excellent street machine.Electric to Start. Electric to Ride.Push-button electric start combined with a high-output 12-volt system means easy starts. WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report
Mon, 13 May 2013Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
60's styled electric concept bike
Mon, 19 Mar 2012This electric concept bike takes the styling of an Ossa Grand Prix ridden in late 1960s by Santiago Herrero and brings it into the 21st century. From Barcelona design studio ART-TIC the Monocasco takes its styling cues from Ossa's monocoque racing bike that was introduced at the end of the 1960s. Spain's first motorcycle Grand Prix hero, Herrero took the bike to four victories before his fatal crash in the 1970 Isle of Man TT.
WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report
Mon, 15 Apr 2013BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.
