Honda XR description

Up for auction is a 1975 Honda XL 125 in good condition for its age that runs great. It doesn't leak or smoke. It is not street legal, the lights and tachometor do not work but the speedometor works just fine. The carburetor has been cleaned and the float was replaced with genuine Honda parts. The oil was changed with monil 1 synthetic oil. It has new tires on it as the pictures show. I bought this from an estate sale two years back and it is in the same overall condition it was in when I bought it other than getting it running and servicing it. I do not know if it had been restored or not, but it looks pretty original overall other than the lights not working. The bike is fun to ride as well as very easy to ride however I have no room for it as I bought a 4 wheeler for my son. No title was provided to me as this was an estate sale. I can provide a bill of sale. Mileage cannot be verified as I am not the original owner and this was bought from an estate sale.

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.

Bradl's Red Bull Honda for Indy

Fri, 17 Aug 2012

At the Indianapolis MotoGP Stefan Bradl's LCR Honda will be sporting this one-off Red Bull livery. The MotoGP rookie has been impressive so far in his debut year with a fantastic riding style. So hopefully he'll continue his run of form and encourage the energy drink giant to stay on board, as the colours look smart on the Honda RC213V.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.
