Honda Other description

Buyers with less than 10 positive feedback, please contact me before buying or making an offer. Failure to do so will result in bid cancellation and and blockage from future auctions.

1985 Honda XL80S with 301 original miles. The low miles are great but what makes this bike special is how well it has been preserved. I have collected and owned a lot of bikes and this is as close to showroom condition as you will find not to mention in the last year of a very rare model. After reviewing the pictures I realized that the side panels look a little faded, I assure you they are not. Gas tank is like new inside, seat is soft and tires hold air with no dry rot. It was just fully serviced with a new Yuasa battery and runs/rides like a new bike. This motorcycle is listed locally so if you have any questions not discussed above or below please feel free to call me 732-772-5545. It is currently registered and insured in my name.

Included in the auction is the 1985 Honda XL80S pictured, original owners manual and clear title.

TERMS: $100 deposit payable through paypal, balance by cashiers check, wire transfer or cash. All funds must be cleared prior to vehicle release.

I do not offer any type of shipping, crating, or payment plans. If you need it shipped or financed please have the logistics sorted out prior to purchase

Schoolboy Heroes

A wet and grey day in Calais in 1992 wouldn’t be the obvious situation for a life changing experience, but for a 11 year old lad on a boring booze cruise from Dover this is exactly what happened. Pockets bulging with funny money I headed to the Tabac for the obligatory bangers, dirty playing cards and some sweets.  Then it happened, I stood in front of the magazine rack and reached up, as if drawn by an external force.  At the time I wasn’t tall enough for Playboy or L’ Escort so settled for a copy of Moto Verte, the French motocross mag.  Life would never be the same again. Inside there was a double page spread, with a fresh faced Jeremy McGrath resting a leg over his #15 Honda CR125.  Sporting a pair of fluro MX trousers with a, now retro, bright white surname emblazoned jersey, and casting an eye over a seriously vast motocross park.  I stared at this Sinisalo advert all the way home, partly because all the articles were in foreign, but also because I was transfixed.  What and how do I become a motocross champion?

Honda Announces 2014 Cruisers, Customs and XR650L

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

American Honda announced several models returning for the 2014 model year with no changes save for a couple of new color options, but the same pricing as 2013. These 2014 model announcements include Honda’s 750cc Shadow cruisers, its 1300cc customs, the entry-level 250cc Rebel cruiser and the XR650L dual-sport. Those waiting for more substantial changes will have to wait a bit longer for more 2014 Honda announcements.

Is this Honda's inspiration for mass-centralisation

SORRY TO keep carpin’ on about porcelain bathroom products but this beauty, I think, is of great motorcycling significance. Feast on its elegant lines and classical, elegant beauty. Combining an integral hand basin (with a nifty electrically operated water pump in the cistern lid) this john not only provides ingenious space saving design techniques but also serves as a timely reminder to wash your hands once you’ve pointed Percy at the porcelain.
