Honda Other description

Up For Sale is a project I started and since moving to a new house with a smaller garage, I need to sell.

I have a clear Missouri title in hand.

I have a 1974 Honda XL 350 Dual Sport. Complete with all parts. I also have some new parts available. The new parts include: Grips, Decals, Brake Light, Seat Cover and new tires for Front and Rear. The new tires are dual purpose and are identical to the factory option this bike came out with.

I also have a factory Honda parts manual (VERY hand for a restoration)  in a binder along with a Clymer manual and also the original owners manual that will go with the bike.

You could even part this bike out and make a pretty good profit. These old thumpers have an almost cult following. I just don't want to take the time to part it out, as I need the room in the garage.

I am also including a new lift table as shown in the pic. It is a manual hydraulic lift and is  in brand new condition.

I will NOT ship unless you make the arrangements. However, I will deliver up to 500 miles for $0.75 per mile. Shipping fee would have to be paid via PayPal in full prior to delivery. Local pick up, by you,  would be free of course.

60's styled electric concept bike

Mon, 19 Mar 2012

This electric concept bike takes the styling of an Ossa Grand Prix ridden in late 1960s by Santiago Herrero and brings it into the 21st century. From Barcelona design studio ART-TIC the Monocasco takes its styling cues from Ossa's monocoque racing bike that was introduced at the end of the 1960s. Spain's first motorcycle Grand Prix hero, Herrero took the bike to four victories before his fatal crash in the 1970 Isle of Man TT.

Morocco by bike

If you've never been to Morocco, you have missed out, big time. If you were going to go to Morocco on a bike, we'd suggest going along with a living legend like Mick Extance, a five time finisher of the Dakar rally. Maybe the video will whet your appetite.

Mick Doohan NSR500 art sculpture

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.
