SCOTTOILER SYSTEM - VACUUM OPERATED CHAIN OILer with extra reservoir

I rode this bike from Tifton, GA to Los Angeles, CA in 2007 and it performed flawlessly.  Currently the Scottoiler oiler is not working I think it just needs cleaning.  Like all Magnas there is a flat spot around 4000 RPM.  I changed the sprockets to a 15 tooth front and 43 tooth rear and it is very quick off the line. It has some scratches on it the worst one is on the saddlebag in the pictures.  The reason I am selling it is I have a touring bike that I ride most of the time.  I have it listed local pickup, but will consider delivering it within 500 miles of Tifton, GA for my expenses.

Honda Developing V4 MotoGP Production Racer

Fri, 22 Jun 2012

Honda is reportedly developing a production racer based on its RC213V racebike that could be sold to teams looking to compete in MotoGP. The new racebike is expected to be of a lower-spec than the RC213V prototype but perform better than a CRT machine with a production-based engine. According to a report by racing site MotoMatters and French magazine Moto Journal, the new V4-engined production racer will be sold to race teams instead of being leased, as is the case with current satellite teams and their race prototypes.

Electric Motorcycle Conversion [video]

Fri, 30 Jul 2010

If you were ever curious how to convert your smelly, noisy and dirty gas powered motorcycle into a quiet and zero emissions electric motorcycle then you have to check this video out from GomiStyle.  They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions, check out the video after the jump. The GomiCycle – An Electric Motorcycle Conversion from Media Sapien on Vimeo.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
