Brand New 2014 Honda F6B

Smoothest Ride of any Bagger out there!

The Gold Wing F6B changes all the rules to create the perfect bike for around-town, shorter trips or weekend getaways. Around the legendary liquid-cooled flat-six is a touring machine that s lighter, trimmer, leaner. Its radical new bodywork features a lower windscreen and sleeker fuselage while still surrounding riders with the comfort and luxury you demand from a Gold Wing.

The F6B features sleek, super streamlined bodywork with a lower, swoopier profile that sweeps back from the minimal windscreen to the low rear cowl right where the trunk could have been. And where other bikes have chrome, the F6B is pure blacked-out metal, from engine casing to the cast wheels. Low-Profile Windscreen When it comes to engineering, Honda has unmatched resources. Countless hours in our research facility wind tunnels led to the F6B s revolutionary windscreen. With its minimal design it saves weight, eliminates a prime cause of wind drag and delivers absolutely amazing wind and weather protection. Riders will also love how open the cockpit now feels.

Advanced Wind And Weather Protection At first glance, the F6B looks bare of wind and weather protection. But on your first ride, you understand its radical new bodywork. Through careful design, rider and passenger are shielded from wind, cold and rain. This is a carefully tuned fuselage that deflects the environment and vastly improves rider comfort. It s part of what makes a Gold Wing world-class touring machine. At first glance, the F6B looks bare of wind and weather protection. But on your first ride, you understand its radical new bodywork. 2013 Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recalled in Australia

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Honda has recalled its 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R models in Australia because of a defect that could cause an oil leak. At the moment, no recall has been announced for the U.S., though there is a good possibility one will be announced shortly, as all 500-series models are manufactured in the same Honda factory in Thailand. There is a similar recall for the Japanese market for the CB400F, CB400X and CBR400R, which are mechanically identical to Honda’s 500-series models, but with a smaller engine to meet the country’s tiered licensing requirements.  According to the Australian and Japanese recall notices, the rocker arm shaft sealing bolt may come loose, causing oil to leak from the engine.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.

Front wheel hopping on a 'Blade

Wed, 25 Aug 2010

In my youth I used to spend hours with my mates pulling stoppies on our mountain bikes and then proceeding to hop on the front wheel for as long as we could or replicating the tricks we'd see our trials heroes perform. But the idea of doing this on a Honda Fireblade is puzzling, but stunt rider Odair Salmazo has it cracked.
