Honda Gold Wing description
Here’s an
excellent example of a vintage Goldwing with period correct complete color
matched Vetter package- all in amazing condition! Currently, the saddlebags are mounted and the trunk is stripped for storage and contains it's mounting hardware and trim. Background-
previous owner bought from original owner in ’09. He rode the bike a short
while, then medical problems intruded. The bike was put away in controlled
climate storage until I got it back in April of this year. All of what
I did to this bike, from teardown to buildup is documented with pix. Also in
the pix you’ll find a document that will tell you explicitly what was done in
these past three months, (using OEM parts only) to ensure that you’re buying a
reliable and beautiful bike and in this era, almost unique! A quick
background on myself begins with my selling new Goldwings in the early
eighties, began working on them in ’94, opened a business in ’07 primarily
devoted to Goldwing repair and restoration. Now semi-retired I get to enjoy
building low mileage bikes, many of which I’ve known and cared for for years as
my clients. I have sold to collectors and private museums without complaint. My
word is my bond and that has always worked well in business as well as here on
ebay, which I joined in ’97. To the
buyer- shipping is on you and from my house. I no longer deliver. This is a
reserve auction and I expect $500 in my Paypal within a day’s end of sale, balance
in cert funds or wire within three days. I no longer have buy it now auctions,
nor will reserve be disclosed. Ask questions. You’ll get the honest truth. This
bike isn’t the typical old Goldwing and is priced accordingly. |

Honda Reports Q1 2011-2012 Results
Tue, 02 Aug 2011Honda reported a 88.3% year-on-year decrease in net profit over its first quarter ended June 30, 2011, thanks in large part to the March 11 earthquake and ensuing tsunamis in Japan. Honda reported a profit of 31.7 billion yen (US$411.1 million) over the quarter, a fraction of the 272.4 billion yen (US$3.53 billion) reported over the same quarter last year. The decrease came mainly from a large dropoff in automobile sales. Net sales from the motorcycle division helped keep Honda in the black despite a drop in unit sales.
Dan Gurney’s Two-wheeled Terror at IMS
Tue, 09 Dec 2008When the Gurney Alligator A6 made its debut in 2002, the world saw a glimpse of a new concept in sport motorcycles. Long, low, quick and efficient like its namesake, the ’Gator was like nothing we’d seen before. The bike was the brainchild of Dan Gurney, the legendary F1 and Le Mans winning driver and championship-winning sports car builder.
