All Original 1972 Honda Trail 90 Barn Find Survivor!

Here we have for sale a very collectible all original 1972 Honda Trail 90 barn find motorcycle. This is a very nice all original bike that has not been touched. This bike has been sitting, in a shed for almost 20 years before I had bought it. The previous owner bought it for his wife to go camping with but they only put about two miles on it before they parked it and put a cover over it in their shed and forgot about it for all these years. This bike is really neat and it's a rare color! The color is called Mars Orange and is seldom seen. The paint on this bike is in excellent shape and is very shiny! The previous owner did not believe that the bike had ever been off road. That makes sense, since there is no wear and tear under the bike or any real scrapes from hitting rocks and such. This bike has clearly not been abused. It has been adult owned since since and was original bought in Oregon before brough down here to Reno. There is some light little corrosion on the spokes and chrome and I suppose that is from when it was in Oregon. The bike has just over 1,700 original miles since new. They speedometer has a unique trip meter on it, which not a lot of these bikes have on them. The seat is original and it was the first year that Honda had the chrome buttons on the seat. The plastic is all original on the bike and in very nice shape! The headlight bucket and frame cover are always thrashed on these bikes but not this one! There is a scratch in the left side of the headlight bucket. It has always been garaged and parked under cover, away from the damaging UV rays from the sun. The air box is also in very nice, like new condition. There is a little crack near the mounting hole on the frame cover on the shifter side, it's very small though. The chrome is all shiny but shows a little patina from age and probably again from being in Oregon for a short amount of time. The tire are original to the bike, which is just crazy to see. The original tires can never be found on these old Honda that what makes this bike such a cool little survivor is that it's original and just plain beautiful. The exhaust is in excellent, like new condition with no rust issues or anything to speak of. The handles and controls are all in really nice shape and are original! The cables are all original and in really nice shape too which is really neat. The bike runs absolutely amazing. It sounds like a sewing machine. It super smooth and has been tuned up, carb rebuilt, and is ready to ride and enjoy! The transmission shifts smooth through all of its gears This bike has a high and low gear range on the tranny. I put a brand new battery in the bike and all the electrical is in good working order. The headlight works, brake light, tail light, dash lights, and horn all work. This is a great bike to take camping with your family and enjoy! This is a super collectible and highly iconic motorcycle that is super easy to ride and just have a blast on. Overall it's a really nice original bike that some some slight age, weather, and scratches but overall something that you would be proud to owner and show off to your neighbor! I have the original Oregon title that will come with the bike. Please ask any and all questions. My phone number is 775-830-6760. I recommend using J&M Transportation for shipping the motorcycle. They are a professionally and highly capable private shipping company that only ships motorcycles all over the United States. Please contact me for their phone number. They will treat you right if you tell them I sent you. I accept cash, cashiers check or money order. I can store the bike for up to a month so that shipping arrangements are made and the bike is picked up. Thanks for looking!

Honda’s View of the Motorcycle Industry in Canada

Fri, 13 Aug 2010

Recently here on Motorcycle.com, we’ve been bringing you reviews of a handful of Honda scoots that are available to our neighbors (or is that neighbours?) to the North in Canada, yet remain forbidden fruit for American consumers. Reviewer Costa Mouzouris gave us a look at the naked CB1000R that Honda Canada is considering importing, the already-available half-faired CBF1000, and the entry-level CBR125R. Meanwhile, Honda’s competitors have also announced some new products for Canada that have yet to be made available in the U.S.

Like Father Like Son

According to Honda's Australian YouTube channel the child riding the Honda CRF50F in this ad is following in his dad's footsteps, as he also rode a Funbike as a child. In the very same back yard that was used for the shoot. After seeing the film crew in action, the child's grandmother announced she had old Super8 footage from 30 years ago which was subsequently used for the opening scene.

Moto2 needs more radical bikes

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.
