Honda CT description

71’ Honda CT 70H

Up for sale is a classic candy blue green Honda CT70H. The bike has a comfortable ride, shifts smoothly, and starts easily. The bike is mostly original with the exception of a new wire harness and new headlight. This early model CT70H was manufactured in January 1971. The kick-start shaft looks like it's been welded. The engine smokes a little bit however it runs good. The chain guard and headlight bucket were resprayed due to minor fading and scratches. It also comes with rear buddy pegs. Not perfect but it’s a classic bike that's a blast to ride. NO RESERVE!

Engine:

This motorcycle has the Honda 72cc single cylinder engine. The engine number is CT70HE-151513.

Transmission:

Has the 4-speed manual transmission.

VIN # & Title:

The VIN number for this bike is CT70H-151417. Comes with a clear title that's not under my name (still in the previous owner's name).

I accept PayPal or cash upon pickup as a payment. If you are doing a local pickup you must make a deposit of $100 (with PayPal or cash) within 48 hour of the auction ending and pay the rest with cash. Buyer is completely responsible for arranging the shipping and covering ALL shipping costs. I will assist when needed but will not deliver nor pay any fee to have the bike shipped. Shipping to the lower 48 US states only and no international shipping. It must be picked up by the shipping carriers within 1 week of the auction ending, or I will go to the next highest bidder.

2013 Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recalled in Australia

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Honda has recalled its 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R models in Australia because of a defect that could cause an oil leak. At the moment, no recall has been announced for the U.S., though there is a good possibility one will be announced shortly, as all 500-series models are manufactured in the same Honda factory in Thailand. There is a similar recall for the Japanese market for the CB400F, CB400X and CBR400R, which are mechanically identical to Honda’s 500-series models, but with a smaller engine to meet the country’s tiered licensing requirements.  According to the Australian and Japanese recall notices, the rocker arm shaft sealing bolt may come loose, causing oil to leak from the engine.
