Honda CRF description

07 Honda CRF 250R, I built this motor last winter, The head has been ported and polished, I sent it to JGR racing and they put New valves and did the head work. I put a Athena 280 BIG BORE kit in it, with a Hot Cam Stage 2 cam. This bike is crazy fast and will pull like no other 250, It has a Pro Action suspension setup for a 160lb rider. There is not many hours on this motor, high guess (10-20) Hours. The tires are just about new. It also has a full Yoshimura exhaust. I have over $2000 in the motor. I have purchased a New complete set of plastic to go with it. It also has a Hinson Clutch. This bike runs GREAT. You will not be a disappointed. It is race ready.
NO TRADES and I am not shipping!

I still have all the stock parts, and they will go with the bike. They include the cylinder and cam, If you would like to put it back. I put the big bore kit in it to go faster not because it was blown.

Also you are more than welcome to come see the bike before you buy it!

Video: On-board with Stoner at Sepang

Tue, 28 Feb 2012

The story of MotoGP testing has so far seen Casey Stoner maintain his dominance on the Repsol Honda. At the first test at Sepang 26 days ago - where the above footage was recorded - the 2007 and 2011 champion was the only rider to break the two minute barrier at the Malaysian circuit, ending the two-days at the track with a best time of 1:59.607.

The most beautiful race bike ever?

Thu, 06 Oct 2011

It was good to see my old HRC team mate Shinichi Itoh making his final Moto GP appearance last weekend at Motegi.  At 44 he was a bit off the pace compared to his younger team mates, but that didn't matter as it was a joy just to see him circulating on what I reckon is most stunning GP bike ever. And I gladly braved the pit lane walkabout chaos just to dribble and take a few snaps. Unfortunately he lost the front in one session trashing a complete set of body work but was back in action on race day to grab a few world championship points.

Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella

A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure.  He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope.  He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat.  Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why.  Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy.  I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.
