Honda CBR description

This is a 2011 Honda CBR 1000 Repsol edition with a clean title. The motorcycle has only 3,700 miles on it and is adult owned. I purchased the bike brand new fresh out the crate in 2011. The reason why I'm selling it is because I don't have enough time to ride. Please do not contact me with low ball offers. I don't have to sell it and I'm not strapped for cash. I have the title in hand with no liens on it.

 Add ons to the bike
-D&D slip on exhaust
-Fender eliminator kit
-Michelin Pilot Power 3 front and rear tires with less than 500 miles on them

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

Honda Raises MSRP for 2013 NC700X But Lowers Price for DCT Option

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

The big news from Honda last week was the introduction of the new CTX700 and CTX700N cruisers. Flying a little under the radar however was a change to American Honda‘s pricing structure for the 2013 NC700X which sees a price increase for the base model but a price cut for combined anti-lock brakes and a dual clutch transmission Honda introduced the NC700X last year at an impressively low price of $6999 for the base model and $8999 with ABS and DCT. The low price point was one key advantage we awarded the 2012 NC700X over the $7899 Kawasaki Versys in our recent Middleweight Multi-Tool Shootout.
