Honda CB description

I completely rebuilt, restored this CB750. I have restored over 50 Hondas in the last 20 years. I am at the point now where I strive for perfection. I go through every piece and part, buffing, painting, polishing, or whatever it takes to make the part look as new. if I can't succeed I replace the part with whenever possible a genuine Honda part. I bought this bike 17 years ago, and it has been kept in a controlled temperature storage. This bike has no rust. When I bought this bike I ordered from Honda and received a new double seat and complete tail piece painted with moldings and emblem, new handlebars, new tank and side cover gold emblems, mirrors, grips, carb insulators, and air cleaner tubes, brake hoses, complete new rear brake master cylinder assembly, muffler assembly, points cover, and any other Honda parts plus battery, tires, fork seals, carb kits, air filter, clutch cable, and much more. I used Honda bolts, screws, nuts, and washers. I used a total of over 80 part numbers on this bike. The tank and side covers were painted professionally at a new car franchise body shop in Candy Presto Red. The engine received major work including an 810cc kit, 8 NOS Honda F2 Intake and exhaust valves, and a new out of the wrapping NOS CB750 F2 camshaft. These are very pricey parts. The valves were matched to the seats by a rare left standing 70 year old engine rebuilding shop locally. They polished the header and ports and carefully magnafluxed for any possible cracks or imperfections. The valve springs and retainers are high quality after market. The complete engine was assembled by a 65 year old mechanic that has spent his whole life working at a Honda dealership and now for many years his own shop. Everything works as it should and it seems to have lots of power as it is just being broken in and has not been pounded on. Inside tank is as new. I wanted to make this bike a little extra special so I had many miscellaneous part triple chrome plated as you can see in the pictures such as engine mounting, bolts, and brackets, chain guard, complete exhaust header pipe assembly, clutch cover and housing, kick starter, rider and passenger brackets, and springs, and much more. This bike is a rare show winner and has more overall appeal and performance than when they were new. The owners manual and tool kits are as new. Any questions you are welcome to call me at 309-253-2180. The front master cylinder and all three wheel cylinders were all overhauled using genuine Honda parts. The carbs were all cleaned and overhauled along with all other adjustments including valves, points, timing, and timing chain.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.

The other day, Honda patented the name and layout of the NT1100 motorcycle

Fri, 12 Feb 2021

The Africa Twin parallel twin will be installed in another chassis - an asphalt tourist one. Unfortunately, at the moment there are no official pictures, only the fantasies of fans and third-party designers. Only one thing is clear - the engine will be 1100cc, and just like the CRF1100 Africa Twin touring enduro and CMX1100 Rebel chopper, the engine will be offered with both a conventional motorcycle foot-shift gearbox and a DCT robot.

Results From Day 2 Of World Supersport Testing At Phillip Island

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

If there’s one constant when it comes to World Supersport racing, it’s that Kenan Sofuoglu will be at or near the front at all times. The former champ has a special ability when it comes to lapping middleweight sportbikes as quickly as possible, and it showed again at the conclusion of World Supersport testing at Phillip Island. Sofuoglu’s best time of 1:33.506 was set during the first day of testing, but still nobody was able to beat it.
