Honda CB description

2 Honda CB 350's For one price(2 for 1)1971 & 1972. Straight out of the 1970's looks.  They have been in storage for a few years. Lets start with the 1971(red one). It Has only 2,178 miles, and it shows. Original red paint and original seat and exhaust, with no rot. Chrome all over bike is very nice. Kicks over nice, and clutch and throttle cable are free. Goes through gears nice and nice period ape hanger handlebars. Very nice looking and original. Left side cover looks to have been repainted at some point. Fuel tank should be cleaned before starting. Glass on clocks is cracked, needs a headlight ,left front blinker lens, battery and front brake lever. Very nice tires and back taillight lens has a hairline crack. Could have it running in a few hours to a day or two. Made in 10/71.                                                                                                                                             The 1972 (orange one) won' t kick over(it did when I stored it)still has oil in it. It has only 11,370 miles. This one is not bad looking either but will need some work. Paint is faded ,and has dent in tank, it is missing left side cover, right front blinker lens, and front brake caliper is missing and wrong master cap. Seat is original but has some age as seen in pictures, back tire is original and  weather cracked and taillight lens is broken. Has nice exhaust and cool vintage period sissy bar. Front tire is nice. Both bikes have their original tool kits.                Still looking for the keys. But can be made easily.         Built in 7/72.                                                               They are both sold with bills of sale and don't have titles. Maine does not require titles with any motor vehicle over 15  years . I bought these as a pair ,and I am selling them that way. They are sold as is where is with no warranty. Data Analysis From Marc Marquez’ 200 MPH Mugello Crash

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

The chart above is the data recovered from the Alpinestars racing suit of Repsol Honda Rider Marc Marquez after he crashed during practice on the front straight at this weekend’s MotoGP round at Mugello (click the pictures below for an enlarged view) while traveling 209 mph. This information is recorded for all Alpinestars suits equipped with the Tech-Air airbag technology. In case you’re curious about the effectiveness of airbags in leather suits, and the severity of impacts experienced during a 200 mph getoff, let’s examine the data.

Schoolboy Heroes

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

A wet and grey day in Calais in 1992 wouldn’t be the obvious situation for a life changing experience, but for a 11 year old lad on a boring booze cruise from Dover this is exactly what happened. Pockets bulging with funny money I headed to the Tabac for the obligatory bangers, dirty playing cards and some sweets.  Then it happened, I stood in front of the magazine rack and reached up, as if drawn by an external force.  At the time I wasn’t tall enough for Playboy or L’ Escort so settled for a copy of Moto Verte, the French motocross mag.  Life would never be the same again. Inside there was a double page spread, with a fresh faced Jeremy McGrath resting a leg over his #15 Honda CR125.  Sporting a pair of fluro MX trousers with a, now retro, bright white surname emblazoned jersey, and casting an eye over a seriously vast motocross park.  I stared at this Sinisalo advert all the way home, partly because all the articles were in foreign, but also because I was transfixed.  What and how do I become a motocross champion?

Long Live The Kings

This short film features a Honda and a pair of flat-twin Beemers customised by Paris-based Blitz Motorcycles. It was shot exclusively on super 16mm film and looks stunning. But more importantly, loads of fun.
