Original factory seat with a few tears, few small dings and scratches with very, very little rust, kept in a dry garage its entire life, engine, carbs, electrical never gotten into, unmolested motorcycle, starts easy, idles nice, runs strong, shifts smooth, engine sounds great, gas tank clean, new battery with CDI electronic ignition, lots of rubber on both of the tires, chain and sprockets in very good condition just like the rest of the bike, owners manual's included and original paper work. I can remember exactly where I was when I first saw Honda's TT100 Evolution Fireblade: at the dinner table, reading MCN as a 16-year old lad and being told to put the paper down and get on with my dinner! I'm sure you appreciate why the lamb chops had to wait.. It was created by Honda to celebrate their 100th TT victory, however I'm pretty sure Honda had another agenda: to homologate it so they could put it up against the mighty new Yamaha R1 at the TT.

As Honda prepares its new VFR1200 for its official unveiling, the red-wing company has set up a website detailing its long involvement in V-4 engines. It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!
