Honda CB description

For your consideration is my fully restored 1965 Honda CB160 with 1163 original miles. This is a full nut and bolt restoration and took many years to complete and 98% of the parts used are new old stock genuine Honda parts. I can not begin to tell you how beautiful this Honda CB160 is in person. It's almost too nice to ride in my opinion and should go to a collector or museum. This bike fire up with a kick or two and runs like a clock and shifts through all four gears flawlessly. The electric start is not hooked up at this time so I have no idea if it works. Other than that this bike is just like new and will be very hard pressed to find another in this condition. A lot of time, cash, effort, blood sweat and tears went into this meticulous restoration  and it really shows. The only things not original on this bike are the beautiful aluminum wheels, grips, ignition wires, coil, and some nuts and bolts. The frame, swing arm, forks, headlight bucket, and chain guard have all been stripped and professionally painted and matched to an unopened can off genuine Honda red paint from 1965. The grey/silver paint on the side covers and front fender was matched to a new old stock rear fender. Every piece of aluminum was completely polished to a mirror finish and looks awesome. The VIN # is B160-1009958 and the engine # is B160E-1009968. The engine has been completely rebuilt using all Honda parts by a Vintage Advantage a well known shop. Some of the parts that went into this bike cannot be found at any place at any cost. Basically this bike looks and rides like new and will be sure to impress even the most discriminating buyers. This bike has been resting in my wife's foyer so it has been kept in a climate controlled environment (this drove her nuts)!!!  Here's a short list of some of the parts.

All of these parts are new old stock.

New complete seat

Rear shocks, forks/springs (all new suspension)

Rear fender

Complete exhaust system (bought 20 years ago in the original boxes)

Honda B spokes (last ones ordered in the Honda data base)

All cables and rubber pieces

Chain, sprockets, battery box

Headlight, wiring, and many nuts and bolts that have been chromed, polished or replaced

New Honda clutch, valves, guides, springs and much more

Stock Honda paint from 1965 to match all body work

I am still waiting on the original mirrors from Bill Silver (they will be included)

I also have a service manual, parts manual and one key

The only items that are not stock are....

New beautiful aluminum wheels

Inove tires 2.50-18 front and rear

Grips, battery, and some nuts and bolts, ignition wires and coil

In the end this has to be one of the finest examples in the country and the only way to find another nicer is to get your time machine fired up and go back to 1965. If you have any questions regarding this fine Honda CB160 please contact me VIA email or call Rob @ 860 559-4869. If you need shipping I will help in anyway I can but the cost is the buyers expense. If you are shipping payment will be in the form of a certified bank check, if you are local payment will be in the form of cash. Bike and paperwork will not leave me until payment is received and cleared by my bank. This bike is sold with a bill of sale and previous registration. Connecticut will not issue titles for anything this old. Do not bid unless you have the cash and can complete the transaction. If your interested in one of the best examples of a classic 1965 Honda CB160 please place your bid. This is a true blast from the past so don't pass this one up.  Thanks and happy bidding !!!!!!

Be sure to come join the Honda Supercross and GNCC Red Riders to celebrate the start of Daytona Bike Week and the Supercross by Honda on Friday, March 7, 6-8 p.m., at Honda’s Main Display Area (look for the new location of the Honda tents, just east of turn 4).

Remember push starts?

Fri, 18 Nov 2011

Alongside the most stunning collection of race and road bikes at their Motegi museum, next to some race bikes, Honda also has a step by step guide on most aspects of riding. I photographed the wonderful text on push starting but I also have lots of equally hilarious instructions on cornering braking and even what a riders goal should be. Watch this space...... oh, and hopefully see you at the NEC over the next ten days!

Casey Stoner Testing The Honda RC213V At Motegi – Video

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Casey Stoner made a surprise return to MotoGP recently, participating in a two-day test with former employer, Honda. Check out the video below to see the former champ in action. The test took place at the Honda-owned Motegi circuit, where Stoner rode the 2013 model in the morning session before switching to 2014 machinery — the same spec bikes Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez currently pilot — in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, the Australian only managed six laps during the first day of testing due to rain, but completed 47 laps the following day when conditions were much better.
