Harley-Davidson Touring description

What you're looking at here is a completely custom 2005 Harley Road Glide that I purchased from an Insurance company after the original owner laid it down. Absolutely no frame damage! This bike does have a prior salvage title in the state of Iowa which means it was previously damaged, repaired by a proffessional repair facility, inspected by the state of Iowa then released to be registered and insured. This bike has a current and clear registration and full coverage insurance with a declared value of $20,000.00

I got lucky on the purchase of this bike. I could see in the pictures that it had engine work at some point. After getting it home I found some owner info in the saddle bag so I went to work figuring out to what extent the engine work was. I found an invoice from a bike shop for service so I called them, they were the ones that did the major work. Now for the great part. This bike has a Zippers Muscle 124ci kit with a thundermax autotune, & Screamin Eagle Heads with compression releases. The engine work has about 5000 miles on it, and let me tell you it runs VERY WELL! This is not your grandpas bagger! It had a thunderheader 2 into 1 but I like true duals so I installed Rinehart True duals with 4" mufflers, you can definately hear the huge cams.

Now for a little about the damage it had. The front inner and outer fairing were damaged, front fender, both bags, crash bar, and gas tank were also damaged. All this made it a great candidate to customize. The upper and lower forks were ok and someone had already installed chrome lowers so that was a bonus.

Here's a list of what has been done since purchasing.

- House of Kolor Ice Gold Pearl Paint Job done in house (lots of pearl & flake very sparkly in the sun)

- Yaffe streched all steel gas tank

- Yaffe Classic 14" chrome apes

- All Chrome Harley Hand Control & Buttons

- All Stainless braided cables

- Native Baggers 21" Wrap Fender

- 21" Fat Daddy Fat Spoke 21" Chrome Wheel

- New 21" Avon Front Tire

- Jagg Oil Cooler

- 12mm Twisted Yellow Plug Wires

- True LED front turn/run lights/dish bezels

- Tons of Willie G accessories

- Kenwood Excelon USB Ipod CD player

- Infiniti Kappa 5.25 Front speakers

- 4" True stretched bags

- CVO Speaker Lids Grilles w/hogtunes 5x7 marine speakers

- Layover rear Fender w/RWD Run, Tail, Turn Lights

- Rinehart True Duals w/4" mufflers

- Heavy Breather

- New Style Headlight and Bezel

And the list goes on.

This bike is for sale locally so auction may end at any time. I may be able to help with shipping to lower 48, let me know and i'll get a price figured up. I've sold and shipped custom bikes all over the U.S. & Canada with no problems, don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thanks, Rod. cell 319-759-5757

Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Warning: A graphic photograph of Standley in his casket can be viewed on the Dayton Daily Times website.

Stolen from his apartment in West L.A. 17 years ago, Warren Huff, thought his Harley-Davidson was gone forever.  The bike was found in Valencia after a man brought the motorcycle in for inspection.  The bike was stock originally but Huff gets the customized Harley back as is. Hit the jump to see the news clip.

Milwaukee’s The Iron Horse Hotel

Historically speaking, the kinds of places that have openly accepted or invited motorcycle enthusiasts and their bikes were lacking in a number of areas. While they may have been convenient and offered motorcycle-friendly amenities, they did so with little comfort or luxury. On the other hand, accommodations on the higher end of the spectrum were pretentious and inconvenient for storing bikes and gear.
