Harley-Davidson Touring description

This is a very nice 2011 CVO Ultra.  I am the second owner having purchased it on eBay.  My first CVO Ultra and I have truly enjoyed riding it with mama on the back.  Youngest daughter is now on bed rest with twins coming soon and mama is gone to tend daughter's family--no more riding with her this season.  I have decided to sell and just ride my CVO Road King.

This bike comes with the CVO Gold Key, Unused Saddle and Tourpak Travel Bags, GPS unused and still in the box, Commo equipment in unopened box, CVO Cover, Owners and other Manuals and two Keys with Fobs and Remote Clickers for power locks.  It has had 1K and 5K services with the receipts included.  The windshield has been upgraded making a big difference in rider comfort.  There is also a Tourpak organizer and chrome on the speakers. Other than those items, the bike is pretty much stock. Always thought a CVO already has all it needs to look and ride nice.

I previously drove a Road Glide Ultra with a 103 fixed up pretty nice.  It was a good bike but just doesn't even come close to the CVO power and ride.  I will never go back and plan to get another in the spring.

This is a very nice well maintained bike.  Both I and the previous owner kept it very clean and performed all necessary services (its been cared for).  As far as I can tell everything works great and is in excellent condition.  The rubber and breaks are all good.  Tires are filled with nitrogen.  XM-Radio is really nice on the ride.  With the amp the sound is very clear.  Heated seats and grips even came in handy on cool summer mornings.  One can live without but it sure is nice to have.

While on my travels I have seen three bikes just like this one (color and year) with more miles at dealerships all listed for $34,900.00.  I assume that is the listed retail price.  Realistically, I bet they would sell them for less.  I believe my price is good but will entertain any reasonable offer--Please don't offer wholesale or low ball me.  I don't have to sell but see no reason to have the bike sit around inactive.  I really just don't like to ride it without mama.

Title is clear and in hand.  I will expect the winning bidder to pay a nonrefundable $500.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction end.  The remaining money must be paid within 7 days of auction end by either cashier's check or wire transfer.  Upon receipt of all funds the Vehicle Title and a Bill of Sale will be sent overnight via FedEx to the buyer.

I have purchased and sold several bikes on eBay.  Although shipping will be 100% the buyers responsibility, I would be happy to make suggestions on what has worked and not worked for me.  Also, there is no rush for the bike to leave here--it is welcome to reside here as long as it takes to pick it up or ship as long as it is paid for.

Contact me via eBay if you have questions.  For our protection I will not sell outside eBay.  Thanks!

ACCEL Stealth Supercoils Now Available For Harley-Davidson Sportsters

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

ACCEL today announced the company’s popular motorcycle Stealth SuperCoils will now be available to owners of 2007-2014 Harley-Davidson Sportsters.  First introduced in late-2013 for Harley-Davidson Twin-Cam engines, ACCEL’s Stealth SuperCoils provide quicker engine starting and improved throttle response, while hiding all ignition wiring in the head of the self-contained coil pack; eliminating the need for spark plug wires and creating a clean, custom look. In addition to the flat black and natural aluminum finishes, the Sportster Stealth SuperCoils are offered in flat black with polished aluminum edges. Each SuperCoil mounts directly to the spark plug and features a cross-functional cast aluminum cover that also acts as a heat sink, pulling heat away from the cylinder heads.

Wed, 14 Jul 2010

The former NHL Detroit Red Wing and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy, Bob Probert, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family.  Probert was arguably the all time greatest NHL fighter but also had great skills, leadership qualities and a big heart. He was taken to his final destination on a Harley-Davidson sidecar before about 1,000 mourners.  Probert was 45 years old on his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dani, son Jack and two daughters, Brogan and Tierney. A news clip and some Probert highlights after the jump.

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.
