Harley-Davidson Touring description
I am selling my 2011 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited motorcycle. This bike has approximately 25,100 miles on it. This is a great motorcycle in great condition. This bike runs great and does not have any mechanical issues that I am aware of. The bike does not have any exhaust tips currently as I had to remove them to add extended saddle bags.
Because of the aftermarket rims and rotors, there is some slight pulsing in the front brake handle when applying the front brake. This has been looked at by 2 professional mechanics including Harley Davidson and does not affect the performance or the braking. I have added the following modifications to the bike: - 21 inch fat spoke front rim and tire - extended saddle bags - front suspension was lowered approximately 2.5 inches - rear suspension was lowered almost 1.5 inches this is a great motorcycle!! I hate to sell it, but I just do not ride it enough. Please contact me with any questions. |

Vespa goes back to the future
Thu, 22 Nov 2012IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while. I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
Harley-Davidson Offers “Steel Toe Tour” of York Factory
Thu, 23 Feb 2012Harley-Davidson is adding a new factory tour program offering visitors a personal look at the company’s York production facility. For years, the M has been offering free factory tours of its operations in York, Pa., Kansas City, Mo., Tomahawk, Wis., and Menomonee Falls, Wis., facilities. In 2009, Harley-Davidson introduced a premium tour that takes guests into “employee-only” areas called the “Steel Toe Tour” at its Menomonee Falls location.
