1958 HD Duo-glide Panhead registered 1958 in Texas. clear title. recent full service. brand new Dyna s and coil kit dual ignition, starts on first kick depending upon operator lol. four speed, kick start, mouse trap clutch. re-built engine with 100 miles on it. chrome in great shape as well as paint. runs easily at 75 mph. just installed brand new Corbin solo seat. I have a lot more pictures and can send a video upon request. comes with a after market manual for maintenance. this a mid sixties frame. was rebuilt by the owner of the HD dealership in Texarkana and traded to me earlier this year. he keep it up on his mezzanine along with other vintage Harleys. Runs great for its age. strong engine. was recently serviced by the local "Hog Shop" open to trades like bourget chopper

Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Historically speaking, the kinds of places that have openly accepted or invited motorcycle enthusiasts and their bikes were lacking in a number of areas. While they may have been convenient and offered motorcycle-friendly amenities, they did so with little comfort or luxury. It’s almost automatic every time we write about Harley-Davidson that the company’s critics jump out to say how its bikes are heavy or assembled from parts bin leftovers or technologically decades behind its competitors. What these naysayers either forget or completely ignore is that Harley-Davidson motorcycles continue to sell. In its first quarter 2014 financial report, Harley-Davidson reported a 5.8% increase in motorcycle sales including 3.0% in the U.S.
