Harley-Davidson Sportster description

You've all heard the story before. Baby on the way, streamlining finances in preparation. Selling Harley to pay it off and save a couple hundred a month.

About the bike: I bought it brand new at Brians Harley Davidson in Langhorne PA. I paid $11k for it, added about $2k in extras ( riding lights, sissy bar, luggage rack, and a 105th anniversary cover kit to replace everything that says 883 on the bike ........ My friends are brutal about it being an 883...lol )

I have all reciepts, purchase invoice, owners manual, service records for oil changes and state inspections, etc.

if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm not in trouble, so please save the low-ball offers

Only stipulation: Harley Davidson Financial still holds the title to the bike until it's paid off, so winning bidder / purchaser can take immediate physical ownership of the bike upon payment, but you'll have to wait a week or so for the title to be sent from the finance company. Nothing shady, just gotta let you know, in the interest of full disclosure.

My loss is your gain. this is the nicest one, at the cheapest price you'll find. Believe me, I checked before posting this ad.

The bike is also for sale locally, so first come / first served. I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally.

Thanks for looking......

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
