Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This loaded 2002 1200 Custom Harley Davidson Sportster is a collector's dream. It is not a Blue Book type ride. It has over $8,000 of just the accessories and labor in customizing it, so over $20,000 invested. I will supply a complete list to interested parties. Some of these include chrome H handlebars (very comfortable), chrome everything including handlebar controls, levers, cables, switches, fuel tank mounting bolts, ignition switch cover, choke knob cover, jiffy stand extension, master cylinder covers, battery case, oil tank cover, belt covers, ignition module cover, laydown luggage rack, horn relocate kit, LCD diptick. Flame theme throughout (footpegs, highway pegs, etc.), flame heated handlebars. Corbin Gunfighter seat (lowers rider a little) with flamed theme with backrest with pearls, matching Corbin flame vest and dew rag, higher 5th gear for lower cruise rpm, tachometer, clock, Live to Ride emblems on the engine derby cover, timer cover, mirrors, gas cap, air cleaner, battery case. Carb was rejetted and dyno'd, leather saddle bags and front bag, driving lights, removeable windshield with no scratches, new tires with less than 25 miles on them and new battery that started bike twice this year. 12,954 adult miles and you would never know it. I am the second owner and have the complete history. I will supply many more pictures to serious buyers. Also I could include box of stock parts that were given to me when I purchased it. I will negotiate shipping with buyer and could deliver in enclosed trailer within 200 miles after full payment and title is transferred. But if you are like my wife, when she saw this bike she had to have it and we hate to see it go. You must see it - we just need more room in our garage.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.
