Harley-Davidson Sportster description

1993 Sportster 883 with 17k miles.

Runs and rides like new. Just rode from Chicago to the Harley Davidson’s 110 year anniversary and back with no problems what so ever . The Sportster started off as a super clean 883 hugger that was well maintained. It was then modified into the bike you see here. All parts installed were either painted, powder coated or coated with heat resistant coating (exhaust and engine/transmission covers). New front brake hose, throttle cables, battery and front tire. Many custom fabricated parts including exhaust. Hand laid copper numbers with hand pinstriped outlines that were cleared over then wet sanded flat and then the correct matte clear applied (same clear used on the matte BMW). Attracts attention where ever it goes.

Good Luck! Happy bidding!

IT'S 35 YEARS since Evel Knievel attempted to jump 13 London buses at Wembley Stadium. Riding a heavy, slow Harley-Davidson XR750, the American daredevil had serious reservations about the jump, admitting the take-off ramp was too short, therefore limiting the bike's speed. But even though the plucky American knew his chances of pulling off the stunt were slim, he was reluctant to disappoint the 80,000-strong Wembley crowd.
