FOR SALE IS MY 1967 SPORTSTER.PAINTED THE BIKE FLAT BLACK.IT IS NOT A SMOOTH FINISH IT HAS A GRAIN TO IT.NEEDS TO HAVE THE IGNITION CYLINDER KEYED OR INSTALL A SIMPLE TOGGLE SWITCH TO SHUT THE BIKE OFF. NEEDS THE CHOKE CABLE INSTALLED AND THE HORN.BAD NEWS FOR ME IS THAT I STARTED IT UP AND IT RAN FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS.THE  MOTOR IS NOW SEIZED AND I AM NOT FIXING IT.IT IS ALSO MISSING THE LEFT FRONT FORWARD CONTROL FOR THE BRAKE.SENT IT OUT TO THE MACHINE SHOP AND THEY LOST IT.BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS AND ALL SHIPPING CHARGES.TRUE MILEAGE IS UNKOWN.DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK.

I TOOK THE TOP END OFF AND VERIFIED THAT THE PROBLEM IS IN THE BOTTOM END.ENGINE WILL NEED TO COME OUT OF THE FRAME AND THE CASES SPLIT TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS .I SUSPECT IT IS THE CRANKSHAFT PIN.HAD IT HAPPEN TO MY 68 25 YEARS AGO.AT THAT TIME I REPLACED IT WITH STRONGER S&S CONNECTING RODS .CYLINDERS, HEADS AND RESPECTIVE HARDWARE HAVE BEEN BOXED SEPERATLEY FRO PROPER REASSEMBLY

Motus Hires Former H-D Test Rider + Video

Bruce Edmiston was a Harley-Davidson test rider for over 20 years. In that time, he estimates he’s racked up well north of 500,000 miles on a wide variety of motorcycles from many different parts of the world. He retired from Harley-Davidson in 2009, but the prospect of helping Motus develop an all-American sport-tourer was just the opportunity he needed to come out of retirement and utilize his test riding expertise.

Jury Dismisses Suit Against Harley-Davidson Over ABS Indicator

A Sacramento Superior Court jury has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Harley-Davidson involving a 2009 accident that left one of the plaintiffs with severe brain injuries. Judy Wilson was injured in an April 11, 2009, crash after her husband, Jack, locked the rear wheel of his non-ABS equipped 2008 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. The plaintiffs contended they believed their  was equipped with ABS because the instrument panel had an ABS indicator icon and from the salesperson’s sales pitch.

Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide.
