Bike has slasher type exhaust pipes, braided break lines, extended forward controls, drag bars, gun fighter style seat with alligator skin inlay, indicator light relocation kit on front lights, bezels on blinkers and headlight, stainless steel mud guard in front of back tire and accent Boogie Lights (http://www.boogey.com/) in blue.

The bike comes with the following (all in great condition):
Backrest with storage bag
Throw over leather saddle bags: 12" tall X 14.5" wide X 6" deep
Leather tool bag
Extra seat/original
Bike cover - no holes

History: I purchased the bike in 2003 from HD on consignment.

The bike has been in storage for some time but started weekly and will start right up. I took it out of storage and washed it.

Minor flaws include:
There is some minor rust on the front rim (see pic)
There is some rusting on the back of the oil tank due a battery leak while in storage but the battery has been replaced (see pic)
The heat shields were discolored so I tried to paint them with high heat, flat black paint (see pic)
There is some minor rust on the ends of some of the bolts again from storage (see pic)
tags are expired

Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Party Is Just A Week Away

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Harley-Davidson has been preparing for its 110th anniversary party for the past year, celebrating in 11 countries on six different continents. In the past year, Harley-Davidson employees, dealers and riders have shared thousands of amazing experiences, including a ride through the Tibetan Plateau in China, a parade along the beaches of Sao Paulo and even a Papal blessing. But now the party is coming home to Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend, which promises to be the biggest celebration of them all.  Milwaukee residents have always been cordial hosts for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts who make the journey to the City of Festivals from around the world. One Anniversary tradition is the welcoming home of thousands of riders by Milwaukee area residents who stand on the city’s highway overpasses with homemade welcome signs as riders arrive in Milwaukee.

Harley Art

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...

The TwinTrax Is A Machine Straight From Mad Max

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Just look at this motorcycle for a moment. A creation of the German Motorcycle Authority, the TwinTrax is nearly 107 inches long, weighs 882 pounds, and took owner/builder Christoph Madaus 12 years to complete. Oh, and don’t forget the two Harley-Davidson V-Twins powering this thing.
